The Minister for Social Protection, Heather Humphreys, announced the major expansion as a new online application was launched for the scheme.
Payments from Disablement Benefit and Half Rate Carers payments will no longer be included in the means assessment for Fuel Allowance for applicants who are both under and over 70 years If you are interested in applying or seeing if you qualify, the easiest and quickest way to apply for Fuel Allowance is via the new Online Application System at MyWelfare.ie.
While the new system is available for applications from 5 December, you can apply now in advance of the changes on 2 January 2023.READ MORE
