The authority says the cost of heating and lighting schools, community centres and depots has soared since 2021

Aberdeenshire Council's energy bill has increased by a whopping £14million in the last two years, according to the local authority.

The council explained in a social media post that the cost of heating and lighting its schools, community centres, depots and offices had soared since 2021, according to Aberdeen Live. "That is the cost of heating and lighting our estate which includes our schools, our community centres, our depots, our offices."
