Climate change is cutting across the traditional left-right political divide, helping explain why teal independents are gaining traction where progressive parties would not, according to Vote Compass analysis.

Don't miss the 2022 federal election on the ABC News appA higher proportion of voters in Liberal seats like Wentworth, Kooyong, Goldstein and Mackellar listed climate change as their most important issue – above the national mean.

"If you look at the economy... at one end of the scale, you've got most of the Labor electorates, and at the other end, the Liberal electorates," he said. "You get lots of really strong Liberal urban electorates very high on the issue of climate change, and at the other end of the spectrum you get lots of rural electorates — but you also get lots of urban Labor electorates, which just shows climate change as an issue doesn't run in parallel to normal politics."

"What's going on in these Liberal electorates where teal independents are doing well is that if Labor or the Greens ran on the climate change agenda in the same way, the voters would still vote Liberal because Liberal voters view Labor and the Greens as having other left-wing views they don't find attractive," Green said.

Bit more propoganda from the LBC.

So are they ready independent? Seems like a voting block called Teal Party. In that case they should band together not say I will see which side of the fence to sit depending on what I like. The Teal Party need to be upfront and transparent on their plans to vote on all policy.

It's another marketing method to funnel votes to LNP. Most 'Teal' candidates wont win. They will pull votes in, even from ALP voters, and preference LNP. Just like UAP. For those that win, who do you think they will form government with? Just another con. VoteThemAllOut2022
