Offaly mum goes viral for her clever and unusual winter energy-saving tips

Mum-of-three Caz Mooney has been sharing her ultimate tips and tricks to save money and manage a household budget via social media via her online moniker Irish Budgeting - and her videos have picked up major traction in recent months.

"I thought I would share with you a few energy saving tips for this winter that are maybe a little more helpful than the usual 'just wear a blanket'," Caz shared in her video. These buttons can be purchased online by searching ' immersion boost timer' and should be installed and fitted by an electrician.

Her second tip is also very practical, especially coming in to the winter season when we will be using the electric lights in our homes more often.
