Greens MP Adam Bandt has backed colleague Jordon Steele-John after he labelled major party politicians 'arsonists' over their climate change policies. auspol

Senator Jordon Steele-John levelled the accusation at Labor and the coalition for supporting laws which could help the coal industry to continue, on a day of catastrophic fire danger in NSW last week.

"People may quibble about the words that are used, but I would urge people to have a listen to the point that Jordan was making." Greens Member for Melbourne Adam Bandt and Greens Senator Jordon Steele-John at a press conference at Parliament House in Canberra, Thursday, February 14, 2019.But Mr Bandt, a senior figure in the minor party, stands by his accusation that Prime Minister Scott Morrison was putting lives and towns at risk.

He has to. The Greens have made the conservative govt their enemy. If Bandt softens, what’s left to fight for? After climate alarmism, they will conjure up another pending catastrophe, blaming the Govt.

The hippies were right 50 odd years ago but drugs derailed them & folk putting money before people & environment won. & now we're paying for that. The past 50 yrs has led to this. We need better people with Science Ethics Engineering etc in charge. We need AFundamentalShift.

👏 👏

gogetsmarthome I'll add the major parties are environmental terrorists.

Clearly he has more than one disability.

I’m with Jordan

Has The PM been Raptured? WheresScotty HaroldHolt

Bandt's use of hyperbole is only surpassed by Steele-John. They are engaged in a Chicken Little death struggle.

Would you expect any different?

Nothing Australia does on emissions will make any difference, greens should focus on China at 40% world emmisions and 1 4 billion people.

I support Jordonsteele comments 100%.

Greens

He also said the greens support hazard reduction burns Greens stopped organising protests for the Melbourne Cup, the day he won the seat Now he endorses on behalf of greens the incineration of native and endangered fauna/flora Greens will ALWAYS put politics b4 animal rights

Adam Brandt is just a total waste of space. We need intelligent communicators in the greens movement rather than the pathetic communist/socialist retoric that handed to us.

You can't completely deny that Global Warming is playing a significant part in these fires. Yes there are other factors but to ignore of the biggest reasons is WILFUL IGNORANCE. Arsonists may not be quite the right word but the sentiment is 100% correct. auspol

Were you expecting him to show any moral fibre? I wasn’t.

'You are no better than a bunch of arsonists - borderline arsonists - and you should be ashamed' Policies that encourage more coal mines, coal exports means a hotter drier CC exacerbating frequency & intensity of bushfires. So yes, borderline arsonists is not far from the mark.

If the cap fits.
