'I'm afraid that Australia must stop selling coal overseas to China and it must stop using coal in Australia,' richardbranson told the Herald.

English billionaire Sir Richard Branson has called on Australia to become a world leader in the renewable energy space, saying that "if you do the right thing, you'll find in the years to come you'll get the benefits".

As NSW braces itself for one of the worst days of bushfires ever recorded, the Virgin Group founder spoke about its connection to climate change on Tuesday morning in Sydney. As 'unprecedented' bushfires threaten NSW, Richard Branson has called on Australia to become a world leader in the renewable energy space."I'm afraid that Australia must stop selling coal overseas to China and it must stop using coal in Australia," he told the"I would suggest the Australian government create a revolution in clean energy, which can create thousands more jobs than coal could ever produce.

He said that if every company was forced to adhere to these rules that "we would have trillions and trillions going into clean energy and very quickly".

richardbranson Hey Branson, this is on Twitter & this is what Australia thinks of you.

richardbranson There’s something really sad the Richard Branson needed to tell the bleeding obvious. We don’t have the water to prop up coal which is paying little tax while withdrawing massive subsidies and undermining our farming economy.

richardbranson Stop his airline first

richardbranson But please keep flying Virgin!

richardbranson I recommend that you Mr Branson close down ALL of your business's and stop traveling around the world for the sake of humanity.

richardbranson True.

richardbranson I wonder what Richard Branson would say ...then he needs to just stop flying

richardbranson

richardbranson Really? Richard Branson said this How many planes do have in the sky Sir

richardbranson Another elitist hypocrite.

richardbranson

richardbranson Get your act together. Only after they have installed Nuclear Reactors to supply the power needs. These non scientific barbarians give ne the goat.

richardbranson Really. I didn’t know that such a smart man can be soooo stupid.

richardbranson Branson Oxymorons. . Why Branson set up personal island Tax Haven to avoid/minimise paying tax in 1st world countries? Why does he not tell the world he is the biggest polluter of fuels? Why attack others when his planes (& ships)are manufactured with coal fire power? 🤣

richardbranson But its ok to run an airline that spews out thousands of tons of CO2.

richardbranson richardbranson you Sir must stop using precious fuel oil for your aircrafts.

richardbranson And Virgin should develop solar jetliners... pretty rich from a guy who made his fortune on mining minerals and fossil fuels end use.

richardbranson I'm afraid Branson will have to stop putting his company's name on aircraft and rockets.

richardbranson In Cockney rhyming slang he is a bit of a ham shanker

richardbranson So he owns an airline, and then flies here to launch a cruise ship and then has the audacity to preach to us. Haha richardbranson

richardbranson Virgin Australia must stop operations immediately.

richardbranson Said the man who burns billions of liters of jet fuel and hundreds of thousands of liters of diesel at his private island. richardbranson is a hypocrite and should shut up. The sun drives climate, not us. 1 of 1000s of scientists on the issue.

richardbranson I’m afraid Branson should stop polluting our air ways with pollution from his planes 😡😡😡😡😡😡

richardbranson Why don't you mind your own f***ing business!

richardbranson People pay to stop logging. Why not pay to stop mining?

richardbranson Richard.. mind your own business and sort out your galactica issues!

richardbranson Australia’s economy will collapse if it stops digging and selling shit to overseas. Coal and mining resources are the only main commodities that Australia could export to overseas. What else would the world buy from Australia? Nothing.

richardbranson Branson is a Dip Shit auspol

richardbranson Yep

richardbranson Hes got to 'fit in' with the progressive narrative! But the hypocrisy is mind blowing !

richardbranson Rich guys in balloons..

richardbranson Branson should stop selling airline tickets

richardbranson Hypocrisy

richardbranson Hypocrite and tax dodger

richardbranson But out and stop flying planes

richardbranson Take that up with LiberalAus The_Nationals MineraIsCounciI but thanks for saying what we’ve been yelling on deaf ears they r criminals

richardbranson What about fossil fuel for his planes and rockets?

richardbranson Obvious he has no investment in mining.

richardbranson If airlines stop flying jets, we should stop exporting coal.

richardbranson Says the man who is a Billionaire from planes ,trains and everything else that moves thanks Dick but no thanks 🤔🤔🤔

richardbranson How come rich people don't see their fault. Consider this Richard Branson how much emissions do air Virgin emit?

richardbranson And just turn the lights out? You forgot to turn the lights off

richardbranson He’s the master of free advertising. I just learnt he’s launching a cruise line.

richardbranson Duh

richardbranson Says a man who owns planes

richardbranson So...end of Virgin Airlines and it’s carbon footprints?

richardbranson But out Branson hypocrit.

richardbranson Because we must listen to the billionaire elites preaching from their carbon neutral castles 🤮

richardbranson What a hypocrite. He has made his fortune from the use of fossil fuels but will run Virgin as a loss making charity. Space X , vinyl records , jet fuel and coal powered stations to build his planes.

richardbranson Get your planes out of the air , trains off the lines then we might listen - that’s a “might”

richardbranson If that were to happen us Australians wouldn’t be able to afford your cruises

richardbranson richardbranson mate i like you, you do some crazy shit. you have a fantastic life and are very fortunate. but fuckn tell us what to do..🙈🙉🙊

richardbranson Billionaire-Backed Sex Trafficking Cult Partied With Richard Branson on His Private Island🤔

richardbranson This Branson?👇 The bombshell Jeffrey Epstein saga – mainstream media and government are covering upNXIVM linked Sir Richard Branson is friends with Ghislaine Maxwell and supported her former Terramar foundation

richardbranson Im afraid you going to have to close your airline down ,get rid of your island unless you can swim there.

richardbranson And he got his degree in climate science from .....?

richardbranson Richard Branson, how you going to build your planes & spacecraft without reliable and affordable baseload power, brought to you by COAL? What type of gases are being emitted by Virgin aircraft & spacecraft?

richardbranson Fair enough, Australia will do that right after richardbranson STOPS flying CO2 spewing jets all over the world. ClimateChange Feel free to lead by example.

richardbranson Nonsense. Stop flying your planes first richardbranson then let's discuss.

richardbranson

richardbranson I’m afraid Richard Branson should shut up . Stop setting up businesses and then flogging them off and moving on to the next big thing you can destroy by discounting

richardbranson Australia sells 260mmtpa of coal to China. China burns 4,200mmtpa of very poor quality coal with less than half the thermal efficiency of Australian coal. We stop and China will have to burn over 500mmt of coal to replace it. What is the goal here? Virtue signalling?

richardbranson This is the same fuckwit who makes a fortune flying people around in jet aircraft that burn fossil fuels directly into the upper atmosphere - the very definition of a hypocrite!

richardbranson Branson: 'I'm afraid that Australia must stop selling coal overseas to China His island would be flooded

richardbranson Richard Branson would need to plant the equivalent of the Amazon in trees to offset his carbon footprint.

richardbranson Perhaps he can pay our bills.

richardbranson While you pollute the world with your aircraft Pot calling kettle black comes to mind.....

richardbranson How about he stops buying jet fuel and fuel oil from Saudi Arabia. Why doesn't he stop using tons of plastic on his planes and ships. Then we might listen but no it's not going to happen as he is in it for the money

richardbranson His 👉Personal👈 Carbon Footprint with Private Jet etc plus 👉Cruise Ship Line and 👉Airline are probably bigger than total coal exports

richardbranson I get the irony that Branson has an airline and lots of pollution causing stuff. That does not take away his message and the fact most of his peers would despise him for doing so. We still want airlines just cleaner energy production & deforestation.

richardbranson How can we take this guy and these comments seriously?......it’s a case of ‘do as I say and not as I do’

richardbranson Well yeah

richardbranson Yet another elitists who advocates to the masses to reduce..while living the high life

richardbranson While there is a demand for our coal world wide, we should never stop selling coal. If we stop selling coal China example, will buy from say India or other country’s. We all mite as well get the letter L tattoo on our forehead. Rest of world is laughing at us (Australia).

richardbranson Branson you are flying in you rich jet . Haven’t go a problem with that but don’t f””Ken tell us what we should do. China has no bullshit it just does what it does fto help its country unlike western government

MayneReport richardbranson Another inner-city lunatic leftie? ☺️

richardbranson The coal from Australia is less harmful to the environment than coal from most other areas of the World - has to do with sulpha content.

richardbranson Said the man who owns an airline 🥴🤡

richardbranson Never mind my airline, my space program or my cruise line... look over there!

richardbranson Didn’t I read somewhere that a cruise ship pumps out as much co2 as a million cars or something like that?

richardbranson Can you wait until we become a superpower as much as England was!?!?

richardbranson richardbranson, another irresponsible idiot peddling the propaganda... when physics proves that co2 emissions have NOTHING to do with climatechange, climatestrike fakers! auspol

richardbranson He’s in Australia launching a cruise line. These people a tone deaf.
