Greens leader Richard Di Natale has slammed climate change cost modelling by economist Brian Fisher as ‘garbage’.

Mr Fisher has estimated Labor’s plan to reduce carbon emissions by 45 per cent by 2030, would wipe $542 billion from the Australian economy.

Mr Di Natale has told Sky News the modelling should be disregarded because it doesn’t consider the cost of climate change ‘inaction’. The Greens leader says he had no doubt ‘the cost of inaction will dwarf the cost of action’.

Garbage ? That’s his detailed technical criticism of it

How would he know anyhoo? It's obvious he doesn't read anything.

He looks like someone who doesn't know what's going on (in this picture). Oh wait, he doesn't! He and his cronies have neglected to read up on climate change being a hoax. Bit sad really

This from the bloke who wants to ban ‘speech he hates’! 0 credibility

Wheres dick.. Watch the video 🔽

Wateva it costs to recover the planet is irrelevant just has to b done.

So where's Dr Natale's modelling and Shorten's? - these ppl are dangerous liars and frauds.

Good. So he should

It sounds like Richard Di Natale who doesn't care about jobs and the economy. What an idiot, if his supporters knows this then they might be out of a job auspol auspol19 auspol2019 ausvotes AusVotes19 AusVotes2019

Because for 30 years the Greens haven't got it wrong over and over. Lmao. auspol billshortenmp AustralianLabor GetUp

Theophi25477733 So an IPCC scientist doesnt know but an inner city communist does? Unbelievable

Garbage it is

So do I!

Oh look at the💧drips squealing? They don't like the results of peer reviewed research.. Of course it's all wrong, the💧drips say so. It doesn't fit their agenda or narrative so therefore it's a conspiracy & has to be wrong.. The Greens don't like the truth. voteGreensdeadlast.

Should've worn your other specs doctor, or can't you find a pair that arn't made from hydrocarbons..

Richard Di Natale is the cane toad of Australian politics.🐸🐸☝️

Green Party’s policy is garbage but it is green.

The phone number bots are out in force this morning. Had a fun time blocking the absurd and the personal attacks. Tried to find anyone debating the costings discussion on its merits. Haven't found one yet. Just bots, trolls and the willfully ignorant.

And he's right

9Circles_ofHell Who cares what this LNP lap dog 🐕 has to say

Climate change equals to a new tax!

Greens have been on climate change forever, labour are now getting into it. The people are interested. But the problem is there are no costings and no smart thinking. Renewables are cheaper. Just make policy to kick out the rich and opportunists from making money out of it.

Correct it is total garbage

BECAUSE IT IS.

Trouble is Greens think we are dumb.and can't see the forest (their costings) for the tree's, (their verbal outrage when challenged on costs) For me they're to far socialist left, they had a go with Rudd n Co, and failed miserably. Why don't they push for more planting tree's

He’s right. It is. Pure garbage. As we would expect from lord moloch’s mindless minions.

He’s absolutely correct

Di Natale is right

Fisher is a charlatan

So whats the real number then.

RobjoyAu As has everyone else worth their salt ausvotes

Slammed it because he doesn’t want to hear the truth. Such a arrogant and ignorant man

Well, Richard has the expertise on garbage, based upon policies of the Greens 🥬

If it doesn’t fit into the fairies at the bottom of the garden theory then for the Greens it is garbage. The extraordinary thing is though, people actually vote for these cretins.

Well if that’s the case show us some figures. Do that and the argument is over.

So what does Di Natale's modelling say?

So what are the costings then, Richard? It's ok, I'll wait.

The response I would expect

bkbaguley P for lots of things the Liberals are but P for Propaganda for this one Brian Fisher.

Because it is... for God's sake, being financed by the fossil fuel industry, he doesn't have a shred of credibility. What a joke! BrianFisher

He won't accept anything unless its what he wants to hear. I've never heard the Greens come out with a proper economic policy for going green and the impact it will have on the economy and Australian people.

Oh really RichardDiNatale so you think you're smarter then this economist! Remind me again your qualifications for this statement of yours. You rude arrogant twatt!

Baron_Gotcha This is pointless argument whatever the cost is we have to pay it

Both Labor and Greens refute any costing estimation on their lunatic carbon plans but provide nothing to show these predications are wrong . They hust babble on with garbage 🙄🙄🙄

deniseshrivell

Richard, have you traded in your car yet for the horse and buggy?

Brian who?

Well he’d be expert on garbage given the amount that he spews!

Probably the only responsible thing this IMBECILE has ever said..

Where is Richard’s figures then?

Why in God’s name would you listen to anything that fucking peanut says?

of course he did ... the Greens don’t understand the term ‘cost’ ... also budget, deficit, unemployment ...

Well we all know who’s got their head in the garbage bin hey Dicky boy 🖕🖕🖕🖕

FlatEarthGang CroweDM got a response here. Your article is garbage

Not often I agree with Greens Leader Richard Dr Natale

De Natale is about distabalisation regardless because he doesn't have to approve anything or be accountable for polices good or not so good. He's just a mouthpiece who employs extra cheap nannies and pontificate about others.

Well done.

He understands finances better than the experts, was he not qualified as a GP. He should understand that population is the bigger danger to earth. Too many humans destory the balance.

The real garbage is the Greens peddling the CLIMATE RELIGION

But it’s worked out by an Economist. So if you have a different figure, tell us!

I am sure the arrogant Di Natalie who underpaid his au pair knows all about garbage which he and his mate SHY peddle daily while ripping off the taxpayer

You are nether a scientist or an economist.

Yes of course economic alaysis is something that is beyond his understanding.

Well di Natale is a specialist on garbage.

Other countries are going to 100%. End of story.

RichardDiNatale is an economy expert now? What ever they do how ever much money they spend is not going to stop climate change. The climate will forever be changing. Live with it.

deb2829 Yes, well, he would know wouldn't he. I've been asking him for months which lamp oil he burns to light his home or does he prefer candles, his lack of response, as well as the lack of response from SHY and Adam Bandt to that simple question is disconcerting.

Di nitwit would always slam the truth because greens rely on lies for everything they believe in

Greens with their 100% renewables target We all know renewables are unreliable and cannot provide reliable base load power How many Trillions will that cost Australia? auspol ausvotes skynews qldpol nswpol wapol sapol

RichardDiNatale aka Dicky wouldn’t know unless it had a red label on it!

Bloke can’t even correctly price the help in his own house let alone be a champion for the price of such an important thing as this.

I’d blast it too. Stupid economists know more than science. It’s all about profit to them

Idiot

Of course he would say that it doesn’t fit his foolish agenda

Shouldn't the quetion be, 'Okay, the science says we need a 45% (or more) reduction - which party has the most effective/efficient way to reach this reduction?'.

The longer Government takes to act properly on climatechange the more expensive it becomes. Period. No matter who’s in power. Get on with it!

TurnbullToppler Dr Di Natale is absolutely correct.

I’m not surprised. Dr Di Natalie doesn’t think you you have to pay much for anything. Even Nannies.

Point of the exercise is to NOT pollute, paying for carbon to CONTINUE polluting smells of hypocrisy. Seems more logical to pay famers to create carbon sinks and stay the course with renewables.

Election time so the greens have stopped talking about illegal asylum seekers and gone back to environmental issues

Is Richard driving an electric car yet?

Probably the only time I’ll agree with RichardDiNatale so in the interest of social cohesion I’ll take it. HOWEVER, WOULDNT YOU THINK THE GREENS WOULD HAVE COSTED OUT WHAT THEIR AND LABORS POLICYS ACTUALLY COST GIVEN HOW LONG THEYVE BEEN AT IT AND THEY WANT TO GOVERN WITH THEM?

Garbage by name. Garbage by nature.

Because he has a PhD and worked in the field for decades... personal attacks instead of debating the detail.

To be able to say it’s garbage implies they know what the costs are. TELL US!!

Richard knows unicorns have far less emissions than cows. His plan is to replace all of Australia’s cows with unicorns to reduce our carbon emissions! It’s a great plan!!!🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄

So Richard produced his own modelling? Didn't think so.

So he didnt actually dispute the cost...

And he would know about garbage. The Greens have been peddling it for decades. auspol ausvotes greensbelonginsaladnotsenates

New modelling to unleash explosive row over climate change costingsBusiness groups backed the ambition to reduce greenhouse gas emissions but said they deserved more detail given they would pay. Nothing to see here. Move on! Just mining industry consultant BrianFisher again with his crazy 'modelling'. It's quoted by Libs because all they have is fear. No policies. He keeps saying Labor will cut wages by $9,000 but voters know that's ridiculous. auspol AusVotes According to the Climate Council: 'Brian Fisher is the fossil fuel industry’s go-to consultant. The industry has paid for much of Fisher’s so-called ‘research’.' auspol There are two costs Shorten raves on about regarding climate change, and he refuses to quantify both! He is rapidly losing credibility with uncommitted voters!
