A mum has blasted a store as ‘ridiculous’ after her daughter had a panic attack when asked to show ID for energy drinks.
But when she tried to buy four Rockstar energy drinks the shop assistant refused to sell them unless she saw Ellie’s ID – even though the drinks weren’t for her.Krystal, from Torpoint, Cornwall, said she has ‘never been so embarrassed’, and added Ellie now will not leave the house.She said: ‘She [Ellie] suffers from severe anxiety and doesn’t come with me often, but this week she was feeling strong so decided to join.
She continued: ‘Strangely, the shop assistant said if it was alcohol it would be fine. I thought that was ridiculous, as surely that’s worse than an energy drink.’The shop assistant called her manager over, who said they couldn’t sell the energy drinks due to company policy.

So the company agree with the cashiers decision? It literally makes no sense, it basically means you can't buy any tobacco, alcohol, energy drinks or anything else that requires you to be over 18 if you have a child with you, I don't remember that law being passed
