LATEST: Eco-warriors climb on top of London DLR train in bid to stop the Tube running today

ECO-WARRIORS have climbed on top of a DLR train as climate change protests plague London for a third day.

Campaigners said in a statement: "Participants will peacefully break the law in order to stop the Tube and then will wait to be arrested. This seems a favoured tactic of the mob, after members glued themselves to the Shell HQ and to trucks blocking Waterloo Bridge to make it harder for cops to remove them.

"But at the same time we need to take actions that are disruptive so everyone understands the dangers we're facing right now. "Based on the information and intelligence available at the time, we are satisfied that this threshold has been met and this course of action is necessary in order to prevent ongoing serious disruption to communities."London businesses and commuters have spoken of their frustration at the protests.

TfL tweeted: "Central London / Extinction Rebellion - Bus routes which usually serve central London are, again, diverted / curtailed due to on-going protest which are blocking several roads."

99% of the so called 'eco warriors' dont have a scooby what they're doing. Public transport helps reduce pollution, hence stopping the public using there own vehicles. If they want to get their point across then this is the wrong way to do so

Keep the trains running. Nothing will help the environment more than culling off a few nut jobs to reduce resource expenditure.

They’re Eco Pratts not warriors, most squaddies would take them down one handed, soft classes springs to mind. The police are letting them do whatever they want. Just as well they’re not football fans or they’d have had the dogs & riot gear on hand. But let a few nomarks with nothing better to do for a few weeks bring central London to a standstill & that’s ok.
