SAN ANTONIO - A man was struck and killed while riding an electric scooter on Commerce St. in the West Side. The 42-year-old was riding his electric scooter on Commerce St with the flow of traffic at around 8 pm on Friday when he was struck by a yellow GMC truck traveling in the same direction. Investigators say that the scooter did not have the appropriate lighting for street use, and the victim was wearing dark clothing.
Due to the street being dimly lit, the truck's driver did not see the victim until it was too late, police said.
