Like hell! They have as much right as any adult to voice their concerns about climate change!☀️💨🌊☔️📢

The government is evidently out of touch.

I'll leave this here as a reminder.

The NSW Government lecturing people on breaking the law is a bit rich, especially when it was the current government that changed the laws about protesting to protect their mining and gas mates...

I’m so proud of these students and young people. My daughter will be one of them.

Go Kids👍💕 Kick adult arse😂😂

Well done again kids...NSW govt stop your bullying and show respect and empathy!

Have they seen and debated what Bill Gates gas to say

forget clean coal id worry about getting a job in the future

I wonder how they all arrived at the same point. Same question I ask about any group protesting about this topic. Transport Cars wonder if they thought of that.. be interested to see how clean they leave the place. BigBusinessDoesntDoProtest

BREAKING THE LAW. Well, fck the law. Made for rich white men.

Go Kids !

Interesting to know which LAW are they breaking?

Is this the same govt who decided it was a good idea to randomly strip search passerbys? mmm

They ought to stay in the classroom... particularly as most of them have little idea about what they are protesting

Wow - goes to show how out of touch all our politicians are. They're bitching about kids missing school instead of paying attention to WHY these kids are protesting. Commit to being genuinely proactive on climate change and the kids won't have to protest!

Government bullying school kids .. there’s a good look, 9 days before an election

It is disgusting & frankly, scary that some Australian politicians are publicly moaning about young Australians becoming active in political debates & exercising their rights to free speech & public protest. If they disagree with their opinions, counter them with facts, science.

Cmon Nsw govt, this is the type of voters you need - engaged about their future. Good on the kids! We will cheer you on

Fair enough too. The future is their’s. They have a right to protect it.

Is it any wonder these Australian kids' future are Gonski, ranked 39/41 lowest in the world, when they're dumbed down and indoctrinated to believe the unfair climate ponzi scheme. Their parents and teachers are to blame. 😰👎

Indoctrinated radical youth being riled up like the red guards in the 1960s China

It’s ok if their parents write them a note!

It is the NSW government that is breaking the law. The kids are just trying to save our arses. Wake up LIberals and start listening to the scientists. A big thanks 🙏 to the kids

I have a great idea, on election day all the students of the schools where the LNP try to put up there candidate posters the students should have a stand in front of the fences to block people from seeing the posters, a day of civil disobedience.

Useful idiots for their useful idiot teachers. It's up to parents to revolt - or agree that denying school days to their children for leftist political agitation is OK. In other words, child abuse.

Which law would that be?

But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.

Obvious government warning is obvious... and kind of the point of the protest

Name the law they will be breaking

SA schools back students planning to ditch class and join climate change protestsSome schools in Adelaide offer their support and encouragement to students who plan to walk out of classrooms this morning to protest against climate change inaction. I think it’s fantastic that young people are walking out of school today to protest inaction on ClimateChange. If we can have non-school public holidays for a horse race or teacher student-free days, a few hours marching for their future is not going to do any harm. auspol Should be at school not wasting time .

'It is student-led change': Sydney schools support pupils ahead of climate rallyThe leaders of some of Sydney's most exclusive private schools are supporting their students attendance at today's climate change rally, with one telling its students to become change they seek to see in the world. Whens the journalism strike? Fark off. It's a reason for a day off school. Not one kid taking tomorrow off gives one shit about climate change. If they did, they wouldn't own that lithium based, copper and plastic ridden smart phone! Surely it would be better to hold the rally on a Weekend when everyone could go along and the kiddies would not miss school. 🤭

'Barely out of nappies': Academic takes aim at students' climate change strikeStudents striking over climate change inaction are described as victims of politically correct teaching by an academic and author. Jesus wept. If you annoy that particular academic you are doing something right. And their young age means they have a lot more at stake than an adult. Besides, studying climate change means they are making practical use of their English, maths and science skills. FFS it's not a strike if you do it on a weekend, and to say 'seven or eight-year-old kids [are] barely out of nappies' is just rude (or, you're doing parenting very wrong) StrikeForClimate
