PRIME energy drink contains caffeine levels equivalent to six cans of Coke, doubling the FDA's maximum recommended amount for children 12 years and up.

A PRIME spokesperson said in an emailed statement to Gizmodo that the company had received FDA approval prior to its release and complied with the legal caffeine limit for all countries it’s sold in. “ Some U.S. schools have gone so far as to ban PRIME for students, and in an alleged school email reposted by KSI on Twitter, students were told the drink would be confiscated if they brought it on school grounds and selling it to other students was cause for expulsion.
