Here\u0027s your weekly roundup of climate change news for the week of March 27 to April 2, 2023.

Ottawa has set aside $95 million in planning money over the next three years to help boost climate resilience for Canadians facing more severe and frequent floods and other natural disasters.

“The government will engage provinces and territories on the development and implementation of the program, as well as the requirements for its long-term fiscal sustainability, including cost-sharing and risk mitigation,” the federal Liberal government outlined in its budget package. The motion came from Vanuatu, a low-lying Pacific island nation that could disappear because of rising sea levels.
