According to an EC statement, this appointment is based on approval by the Prime Minister.

"EC welcomes the leadership of Mohammed Rashdan to bring EC’s agenda to a higher level,” it said.

He has extensive experience in the economic sector as well as company management, especially in the field of corporate restructuring and investment banking. Mohd Rashdan previously served as the deputy managing director of the Gamuda group from 2018. - Bernama
