| Residents near the site of the worst US oil pipeline leak in a decade took the commotion and smell in stride as cleanup crews laboured in near-freezing temperatures, and investigators searched for clues to what caused the spill.

In this photo taken by a drone, cleanup continues in the area where the ruptured Keystone pipeline dumped oil into a creek.Pipeline operator TC Energy said on Friday it was evaluating plans to restart the line, which carries 622,000 barrels per day of Canadian oil to US refineries and export hubs. TC Energy did not provide details of the breach or say when a restart on the broken segment could begin. Officials are scheduled on Monday to receive a briefing on the pipeline breach and cleanup, said Washington County’s emergency preparedness coordinator, Randy Hubbard, on Saturday.

A lengthy shutdown of the pipeline could lead to Canadian crude getting bottlenecked in Alberta, and drive prices at the Hardisty storage hub lower, although price reaction on Friday was muted.

Coal and gas cap complaints not ‘convincing in the slightest’: Chris BowenClimate Change and Energy Minister Chris Bowen says he doesn’t find the complaints from APPEA “convincing in the slightest” regarding the government's coal and gas caps. The government is set to meet in Parliament this week to put through a deal that will see gas prices capped at $12 a kilojoule and coal prices capped at $125 a tonne. APPEA Chief Executive Samantha McCulloch spoke out against the government’s coal and gas caps, saying it will do the opposite of what is needed and destroy investor confidence. Mr Bowen said he doesn’t think the argument will “hold any water”. “This argument really goes to say ‘we believe we need profits as high as we can get during a war, during a global energy crisis for our industry to be viable’ – nobody is going to believe that because it’s not true,” he told Sky News Australia. It’s so funny that Australians are so easily fooled with labors lies and spin and how Australian media covers up for them. This renewable agenda is going to send power prices sky high and cause mass blackouts. Buy a generator people. I don't find the whole green energy or climate crisis narrative convincing in the slightest. Economics 101. Capped price means fall in production, higher prices for longer, the domestic market will struggle. First big blackout will be by mid-2024. PM, Treasurer & Energy Minister have never held a real job… union organiser, political staffer, MP. Ideology over reality.

There’s ‘one form of energy which Vladimir Putin cannot disrupt’: Chris BowenFederal Energy Minister Chris Bowen said, “there’s one form of energy which Vladimir Putin cannot disrupt” at a media conference on Saturday. “That’s the flow of sun to our land mass and the flow of wind on and off our shores and increasingly that will play a bigger role in our energy grid,” Mr Bowen said. “It’s cheaper and also not subject to the international geopolitical crisis that coal and gas have been.” Chris Bowan is clanging gong. Vladimir Putin is a convenient excuse for the world's issues....... The infant's playing it for all he's worth. What dill!

‘What we’re seeing play out in Iran is stomach turning’: Chris BowenFederal Energy Minister Chris Bowen says, “what we’re seeing play out in Iran is stomach turning”, “disgusting” and a “front to human rights” particularly to “women everywhere”. “And Australia should join, has joined the international condemnation,” Mr Bowen said at a media conference on Saturday. Mr Bowen said when you add “these sorts of sanctions”, it becomes condemnation with that “little bit extra meaning”. “I really hope that there’s progress in Iran in the coming period and that Iranian people get the democracy that they deserve and the rights they deserve, particularly Iranian women.” Could Bowenchris stick to finding my $275 reduction in energy prices? Kimberley Kitching says hi 'Women everywhere' ? Surely not western fems, who have more rights than men these days. It's no wonder men are turning into females via genderbender reassignment with great rapidity. Them all want in on the good times to be had in terms of career benefits & sexual politics!🥳🤓
