It includes a payment of up to $4,000 to reduce the price of an electric vehicle and $250 to help pay for a charging station at their homes, Murphy said. Another $4 million will go towards giving incentives for apartment buildings and condominiums to install charging stations for their residents to use.
“There is no doubt that the tide has turned and electric vehicles are now a legitimate alternative, equal to their internal-combustion competitors in price if not superior in performance,” the Democratic governor said duringFrom D.C. to Trenton to your town, the N.J. The state is willing to chip in up to $4,000 for vehicles under $45,000 and, and up to $2,000 for vehicles priced between $45,000 and $50,000, Murphy’s office said.
Are they going to also chip in when it comes time to replace the battery which will probably cost a few thousand dollars?
They gonna help retro fit the house to be able to charge? What is their plan on how to dispose of all these batteries?
Where does NJ get it’s money? Better way to say it would be Taxpayers in NJ will pay more taxes so a few people, who don’t need it, can get a rebate & feel better than you
👎👎🤡🤡🤡
Joke.
I’m not opposed to electric vehicles. Although the sound of an American V8 Muscle Car can never be beat, the performance probably could by an EV. That being said, the car technology, and the electricity infrastructure is just not there yet.
No thank you!!! And I guess you believe that more ev's mean less heat waves too. Haha you are lost Murphy
Oh good, then I'll only need $46K. Got that right in my back pocket.
Who owns the real property under our state’s oil and gas infrastructure? NJSenDems senatenj
I will save money and keep driving the car that I have
will this also include Tesla? elonmusk
You still use coal, oil, etc to make electric!! 🤣. And if your battery fails, it costs $15k to replace. Real money saving.
What a shit show!!!
Your tax dollars at work. Glad those roads are immaculate.
Where will I charge it? It will cost $4k to upgrade the electrical system.
Aaaaand here's the fatal flaw. Dealers will now increase the price and the buyer will not see that savings at point of sale.
Keep it
Honest non-gotcha question does the Governor own an EV himself?
That won’t convince anyone to buy one.
It’s great to see these incentives, although really hard to find a “likable and reliable” EV for under $45K..
Where are you finding EVs for $45k ?
Cause your average income family can afford a $45,000 car 😒
Burn coal and gas remotely to generate the electricity for your vehicle but think you are reversing weather patterns locally.
Save the planet!
