fully electric tugboat RSD E-Tug 2513, known as Sparky, is"the world’s first full-sized ship-handling electric tug."handling by using electricity as its power source, it provides the same bollard pull as the port's strongest diesel tugboat. While Sparky is not the first electric tugboat in the world, it is the first in Auckland and the first of its size and bollard pull.

Ports of Auckland is working to become emissions-free by 2040, and this is no small task considering the waterway moves nearly one million 20-foot containers of exports and imports each year.

Funny how biden haters are screaming about an extra $180 a month in gas as if it is the presidents fault but are super comfortable buying more guns and ammo and also own big gas guzzlers. I would like to see this too but I also want my wallet back in the mean time. It’ll be five years before I can buy an EV or Hubrid. God, I miss my old VW Jetta TDI right now. Seems logical, fuel nozzles already seem to be a standard dimension
