The Australian Greens will demand a moratorium on approvals for all new coal, oil and gas projects as a condition of negotiating climate change policy.

The Australian Greens will demand a moratorium for at least six months on approvals for all new coal, oil and gas projects as a key condition of negotiating climate change policy with a Labor government.

It includes a bolstered safeguards mechanism which will apply to the 215 entities that now emit more than 100,000 tonnes of CO2 a year and require them to collectively reach net zero emissions by 2050.to rebuild the electricity transmission network, so it can better cope with the influx of renewable energy.

In December, after the Greens said they would make changes to Labor’s policy if Anthony Albanese won the election, shadow climate change minister Chris Bowen said he would rather dump legislation and enact the policy without it. Last week, Labor backflipped and decided to support the project after almost a year of opposing it because of market economics.

Idiots.

History repeats 😂

Greens need to hand back 20% of their income generated by the industries they wish to stop. In addition they need to explain how they will overcome the social dislocation costs they will create. Otherwise they are complete hypocrites or agents of the CCP

Ha ha the noisy arm of the Labor party speaking drivel again

And just like that the libs are back in the contest

Another reason not to vote AustralianLabor
