Climate change has been the “graveyard of Liberal prime ministers,” according to former Liberal MP Fiona Scott.

“But hats off to Scott Morrison – he seems to be finding a pathway through and bringing everybody together,” she told Sky News Australia.

Ms Scott said the demands from the Nationals Party were “somewhat reasonable” given renewable zones generally fall within regional Australia. “This is the future of Australia, this is the future of energy and we have to find a pathway through.”

Climate change will be the graveyard of 83 million people worldwide if not tackled drastically and immediately. The odd Liberal defenestration is inconsequential.
