VATICAN CITY: The world's three main Christian leaders issued an unprecedented joint appeal to members of their Churches to"listen to the cry of the earth" and back action to stem the effects of climate change.
All three have been very active in environmental affairs and concur that climate change and global warming is at least partially caused by human activities such as the use of fossil fuels. Europe had its warmest summer on record this year, though only by a small margin over two previous highest temperatures for June-August, European Union scientists said earlier on Tuesday, and green groups have called for the COP26 conference to be postponed.
