NSW Energy Minister Matt Kean’s new energy and climate bill is “beyond the realms of ridiculous” and should see the Berejiklian government “sunk” after it was hurried through cabinet, according to Alan Jones.

The government’s Electricity Infrastructure Investment Bill passed the NSW parliament after 30 hours of debate.

The landmark policy will see $32 billion worth of renewable energy infrastructure built by 2030 by the private sector in conjunction with the government. “It has not been discussed in the Party Room and the Cabinet presentation was a hurried one-page job,” Mr Jones said. “And this is called Westminster Government. On this alone, the Government deserves to be sunk.”
