The 2024 BMW i7 M70 xDrive might not have 12 cylinders, but it's still a performance marvel. BMW quotes a supercar-like 3.5-second 0-60 time for the 5929-pound electric sedan. That's thanks to two motors, one at each axle. The front produces 255 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque, while the rear makes 483 horses and 479 lb-ft. Combined, the two can achieve a maximum of 650 hp and 811 lb-ft of torque. They get energy from a 101.7-kWh battery pack that sits in the floor.
It's not just the motors that have received upgrades for the i7 M70. There's also specific four-corner air suspension, electronically controlled dampers, and active anti-roll bars to cut down on body roll while delivering the same comfortable ride you'd expect from the most expensive 7-Series. There are massive black-painted 21-inch alloy wheels as standard, though 20 inchers are available as an option, paired with higher-performance tires.
🤮
but my eyes 😫 I am going blind 🙈
That's the ugliest BMW I've ever seen. And I've seen the M4 in person.
All that torque shreds tires. We trade one problem for another, mountains of expensive used tires and 100x more micro plastic pollutants into air.
