Concerns are being raised over Victoria’s proposed emissions reduction strategy which would see hospitals, police stations and schools completely powered by renewable energy by 2025.

The state set reduction targets of 28 to 33 per cent by 2025 and net zero by 2050 – which has been met with fears it will harm jobs and drive up energy prices.

Federal Energy Minister Angus Taylor warned the aggressive policy will harm blue collar jobs. Victoria’s major coal generators also feared mismatched policies between state and federal governments will reduce electricity reliability.

Pie in the sky ideal! We’ll all be living in caves soon and going to bed when the sun goes down and cook on open fires!

OK this is now peak crazy. Don’t hospitals require a continuous and reliable power supply? What next check the weather forecast to see if your operation will take place? Madness!!!!

Angus Taylor? He must be a few months from his last (in a long line) corruption scandal now. Which new one is this leading to?

I can’t understand why anyone would read or listen to the Murdoch propaganda organisation

SKY - always on the wrong side of history.

Angus Taylor has fears for blue collar jobs 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I hope doctors like to surgery by candle light 😂

Another disguised price support for renewables - if gov has to buy it will bid up the price and drive artificial actions like more batteries

Australia in an ‘amazing position’ to provide renewable energy to the world | Sky News AustraliaAustralia is in an “amazing position” to export renewable energy to the world over the coming decades, according to Australian Renewable Energy Agency CEO Darren Miller. You’ve got consumers paying feed in tariffs because the network can’t cope with the 2 way traffic, so how do you suppose we are selling energy abroad The rubbish I read about renewable is disturbing. It’s a basket case , and the taxpayer still subsidises It to keep it relevant !! Singapore has already invested ten's of billions in renewables export. Once again Sky & SloMo are way behind other countries. Again, see how well that worked out for germany

International Energy Agency's report a global 'wake up call' | Sky News AustraliaThe International Energy Agency released a 'wake up call' saying countries who wish to get to net zero emissions by 2050 will need to rely less on coal and more on carbon capture technology according to Labor MP Joel Fitzgibbon. \n\n“What the International Energy Agency is saying, look, all of you countries – and in particular it’s talking to Europeans – are making commitments to zero net by 2050 and if you’re serious about that this is what you will need to do,” he told Sky News. \n\n“The other point it makes of course is if you’re going to get there, you’re going to be very heavily reliant on carbon capture and storage technologies so it’s a bit of a wake call to all these people making commitments but without really backing them up with policy.”\n\nMr Fitzgibbon said Australia was “uniquely placed” to reach the goal and having targets will help to guide us and get us to reach the commitment on time. \n\n“When China talks about zero net emissions by 2060 it’s somewhat problematic and the International Energy Agency really laboured the point that what the international community’s collectively committing itself to is very, very challenging.” \n fitzhunter And everyone calls him coal Fitzgibbon... fitzhunter Germany, World Leader in Renewables Hmm: World’s Highest Power Prices fitzhunter CHINA can afford a SPACE STATION- Australia Cannot- Therefore CHINA is a more Wealthy Nation than Australia so CHINA should lead the way in Emission reduction- If we are to believe the Climate Cult theory

'Jobs over ideology': Labor split over energy policy | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Peter Gleeson says the big debate within the Labor party at the moment is whether they prioritise 'jobs over ideology' as the party stands divided over the new Hunter gas power station.\n\nLabor MPs who believe their electorates stand to gain from a gas-fired power station in the Hunter Valley have spoken out against the party's decision to oppose the project, saying it was needed to safeguard jobs, create new ones, and lower prices.\n\n More important things in life than getting money. Still pushing that sloppy bullshit uphill with a tennis racket, huh, Sty? Coal Fitzgibbon is pandering to the PHON voters who caused a 22% swing against him at the last election. That's it. There IS no 'the Party stands divided'. You're making it up. As usual. New gas Hunter 99% temporary jobs, Labor with public housings policy covers those jobs and raises a few more with a climate plan. Why is the media so one dimensional and act like Lemmings.
