WA Liberals split from Morrison Government by setting 2030 net zero emissions target | Sky News AustraliaThe WA Liberal Party has spectacularly split from the Morrison Government, promising to close state-owned coal-fired power by 2025 in a bid to reach net zero emissions by 2030.\n\nWestern Australia Opposition Leader Zak Kirkup unveiled the bold new energy policy in the last few weeks leading up to the March 13 state election. \n\nPremier Mark McGowan responded by saying the timeframe put on the policy is unachievable.\n\n'Suddenly the Liberal Party, that for 10 years has fought any action on climate, any action on renewables, any action on hydrogen, suddenly releases a policy embracing all of them - they cannot be believed,' Mr McGowan said. The liberal bloke in charge in WA will be out of a job in 3 weeks. Lunacy Ok.... Excellent move, the country has a energy crisis, not climate crisis and the moderates such as Morrison needs to face the truth. THE PLAN IS UNWORKABLE. The average Australian understands we need cheap base energy supply and it isn't coming from renewables
