The Inflation Reduction Act has paved the way for a significant boost to the electric vehicle industry, with the US Department of Treasury reporting that over $1 billion in EV tax credits have been issued to buyers at the point of sale so far in 2024. Under the Act's provisions, used EV purchases are eligible for a tax credit of $4,000, while new EV buyers can benefit from a tax credit of up to $7,500.
