Mitsubishi robot solves puzzle cube in a blink of an eye, sets world record

Mitsubishi’s robot achieved the incredible feat by solving a puzzle cube in just 0.305 seconds. On average the human blink lasts between 0.1 and 0.3 second.Mitsubishi Electric Corp.’s robot cracked a puzzle cube in an astonishing 0.305 seconds, securing its spot in the Guinness World Records.

Now, the Japanese team beat the previous record held by an American university by solving the puzzle cube in 0.305 seconds, surpassing the previous record of 0.38 seconds. “So I checked the videos of the previous record holder, and I felt that the motor we have is better than theirs. So I was confident that we can beat them with speed. Shaving off time as much as possible was difficult, but it was fun at the same time. I never had issues with motivation through the project,” TokuiAccording to Tokui, breaking the record demands not just fast motors but also a synchronized series of components, with the challenge lying in extracting milliseconds of speed.
