Energy minister warned that Hamas-Israel conflict could impact energy prices in Ireland

Ireland’s reliance on gas and oil has left the country’s energy supply exposed, as fossil fuels are being used as a “weapon of war” in conflict throughout Europe, Eamon Ryan has warned.

However, the Minister for Energy has dismissed the introduction of further household energy credits amid concerns over energy prices hikes, saying that he believes energy bills will “further reduce early in the new year”.
