Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla has been selection as one of just 22 elected officials across the nation for the inaugural Assembly of Local Leaders , a U.S. Department of State initiative to engage state and local leaders on key issues that affect their communities.

The first-of-its-kind assembly, which will kick off at the start of 2024, includes New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy and mayors from major cities across the country. Members will serve a three-year term, through 2026.
