These are the mainstream models of electric cars, trucks, and SUVs coming to the U.S. market in 2024 and beyond

Electric vehicles still make up only a small fraction of overall new-car sales. However, that’s rapidly changing and will likely change even more quickly over the coming years. New EVs are introduced to the market every year, many at more affordable prices. It’s true, there are still plenty of pricey EVs coming out next year.

2024 Acura ZDX Acura’s first-ever all-electric vehicle is due next year in the form of the 2024 Acura ZDX. Expected to start around $60,000, the ZDX EV shares its architecture with the Ultium-based Cadillac Lyriq. Therefore, it should offer a similar maximum range of about 312 miles. Power output should also be similar to the Lyriq, with single-motor models rated around 340 horsepower and dual-motor models capable of up to 500 horsepower.

Automobile makers have all but abandoned the budget market. 2024 Jeep Recon Originally expected to arrive in the 2023 calendar year, the Jeep Recon will now be a 2024 arrival. We expect pricing to start around $60,000. The Recon will be “inspired by the Wrangler,” the brand’s legendary off-roader, according to Jeep. What that means remains to be seen. We expect a midsize SUV similar in size to the 4-door Wrangler Unlimited.

2024 Porsche Macan EV The 2024 Porsche Macan EV is coming. If Porsche has its way, it’s bound to be a big upgrade for the performance of the midsize SUV segment. It sports a 169-horsepower boost over the combustion-powered Macan, which currently maxes out at 434 horsepower in the turbocharged Macan GTS. The upcoming Macan EV also promises excellent handling as well as dynamic performance.
