San Antonio-based Valero Energy Corp. has donated $5 million for an Alamo museum and visitor center set to open in 2026.

“This donation made possible by the steadfast support and leadership of Valero will play a significant role in helping us sustain our efforts in safeguarding the historical and cultural essence of the Alamo,” Rogers said.
