While energy efficiency alone won’t stop our bills rising, there are small things we can do at home to make the energy we use go further.Here are some of its tips to save energy:

The Consumer Council also has the following free online tools on its website to help you save money on your household bills:This tool aims to help you understand what you are spending your money on. You enter income and outgoings which results in a report that helps identify major areas of spending. It also tells you what money you have left over at the end of the month. It is totally anonymous and the Consumer Council will not record any of your personal data.

The Consumer Council is currently running its ‘save money and energy campaign’ which sets out support and advice to help households save money on their bills by reducing their energy usage through adopting energy efficiency measures. The advice and guidance includes an overview of all financial help, grants, and schemes that are currently available to consumers. Advice and information is also available to help understand your energy bills and read your meter correctly.
