California has passed a sweeping new legislative package that will make it the most proactive state in the nation on climate change.

from the office of Governor Gavin Newsom, the package of new laws will cut pollution, protect Californians from big polluters, and accelerate the state’s transition to clean energy.

“Our state has been facing extreme temperatures, putting our communities, especially our most vulnerable neighbors, at risk. We’re also continuing to deal with an historic drought and the ongoing threat of wildfires.

That approval makes $56 million in funding available immediately to pay for the installation of charging stations throughout the state. Funded by the federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021 , California expects to receive a total of $384 million for the program over the next five years.

The federal funds will enhance efforts to complete a 6,600-mile statewide charging network and deploy 1.2 million chargers by 2030 to meet the anticipated charging needs of the state’s EV fleet.

WSJ editorial slams Newsom for climate agenda, argues his policies 'could destroy tens of thousands of jobs'The Wall Street Journal editorial board published an article that criticized California Governor Gavin Newsom for his restrictive energy policies in an effort to combat climate change. WSJ is better than rest of mainstream media. News section is left leaning but opinion and editorial is very good Why is this topic always discussed as if one day a light switch will turn off and another will turn on? And just like that all hell will break loose? WSJ just did the same report on what Fox said. You can quote them and then they can do a story about that. Then, you could run it on Tucker and quote that in a new story.
