The rising energy costs are related to the conflict in Ukraine and a hotter summer that required utility companies to utilize natural gas supplies.

Natural gas is up the most by more than 34%, propane more than 15%, home heating oil by 12.8% and electricity by nearly 7%. The Russian invasion in Ukraine is the main reason for the increase as it disrupts the global supply.
