In the US presidential debate, Trump dismissed Biden’s climate change argument as an “existential threat,” stating that the Paris accord cost the US trillions and nothing to Russia, China, and India.The climate crisis took center stage in a heated debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.

“He’s claiming to have done something to have the cleanest water? The cleanest water? He had not a damn thing for the environment.” Biden took the opportunity to tout his administration’s achievements, particularly the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, which allocated significant funds to combat climate change.Biden criticized Trump for backing out of the accord, stating, “He does not have any idea about the environment. He backed out of the Paris Climate Accord.

“The Paris Climate Accord costed us trillions of dollars. It cost nothing to China, Russia, and India. I ended the Paris Climate Accord because it was costing us tremendously,” Trump replied. He asserted that his decision was economically justified and in the best interest of the country.more than 100 environmental rules and regulations put in place by the Obama administration.

Biden, on the other hand, portrayed climate change as an existential threat. “I don’t know where the hell he’s been,” Biden said of Trump, as the latter attacked his environmental record.
