Aboitiz Power Corp. plans to operate an additional 176 megawatts of renewable capacity by the first half of 2024, contributing to the country's power requirements. The company is also constructing an additional 218 MW of renewable energy projects. AboitizPower aims to build a total of 3,700 MW of new renewable capacity by 2030.

Aboitiz Power Corp. is on track to operating additional renewable capacity of 176 megawatts in the first half of 2024, helping secure the country’s growing power requirements, an executive said in a recent forum.

AboitizPower earlier bared its goal to build 3,700 MW of new RE capacity en route to 4,600 MW by 2030, aligned with the Philippine government’s target of a 35-percent RE share in the nation’s energy mix by 2030 and 50 percent by 2040.These include projects in solar, wind, geothermal, hydro and battery energy storage systems.
