carbon has a 1:100 energy ratio , everyone carbon atom burnt 100 units of energy are produced. Only nuclear gets near that for economically.
But 'immediate fossil fuel phaseout' is not going to happen! Oil has been found off Guyana and the UK is going after it.
Nothing else matters besides getting off fossil fuels and restoring the gas balance in the atmosphere. Everything else is wasting time, because of the severity of the issue.
Not every politician will understand this statement. Rather, their brains are not engineered to understand it.
