World 'faces first truly global energy crisis', report says

The Paris-based agency calculated the value of government spending to protect customers from price rises currently stands at $550bn worldwide, and is set to rise further, particularly in the UK and Germany.

The IEA predicts that Russia's share of global energy trade will fall from 20% currently to 13% by 2030. It points out that while the pain is spread around the world - stoking the rising cost of living and creating inflationary pressures - it's the poor who will suffer the most because they spend more of their income on energy . Many will lose access to electricity altogether. It gives short shrift to the idea that investment in "clean" energy such as renewables might be partially responsible for high prices.

Man made for profit, there’s alternatives but the oil barons have put a no go zone around them as they’ll be not robbing us all

Russsia invading, nazi Ukraine have nothing to do with energy crisis. But useless sanctions do. Plenty of oil and gas, Russia is wiling to sell. But no, stupid Eu and Uk would not buy it, becouse of drug addict Zelensky. Eu and Uk put sanctions on their own ppl. Disgusting gov.

Windfall tax is only way, claw back profits from the evil greedy bastards. And cut back energy use. Businesses need to start being responsible and turn off lights when closed. Non essential civil and advertising lighting off. Need to fine biggest energy wasting companies.

We are all becoming numb to the word crisis, going to have to ramp up the fear a bit with another word soon

Imagine the world is in trouble with 7 billion people on the planet by 2050 that could be 9billion🇬🇧🙏🏻

I have personaly been effected by this. I wanted to go make a cuppa tea this morning but just didnt have the energy to do so was still a little tired. 🙄

Who are the IEAA? What are their sources? Who paid for the report’s production? Let’s have some background, try employing investigative journalism.

Why though

Pure profiteering is causing the problems

A deliberately manufactured ‘crisis’ When the the world is run by lying, corrupt traitors this is what happens. The leader of virtually every country should face capital punishment, a real deep clean of the rotten filth out of the system is the only thing that will now work

Especially when shell post quarterly profits of 10 billion pounds, we are being treated like fools. There has to be windfall taxes to deal with this excess

Well it took you a while but I see you got there in the end.

The 1970s had a very severe one, how do you compare them? It was certainly global and caused a recession as against a slight depression in the economy. This is green nonsense again isn't it?

BBCBreakfast currently reporting on profits being made by these companies - it’s mind boggling that the UK Government will shovel billions of pounds of taxpayers money into the coffers of these businesses but won’t impose a windfall tax

All purposely manufactured to control us….

All terribly convenient isnt it. Green agenda driven.

Reports says world faces truly 'global human consciousness crisis in leaders'

It would seem to be that globalisation of everything in search of profit has been a total failure

European countries are advised not to use fossil fuels, but to control carbon emissions.

World facing Globalist Greed.

Gas and electricity wholesale prices cheaper now than before this apparent 'Crisis' began. Profiteering and greed.

'first PURPOSELY CREATED global energy crisis' you mean.

All is going as planned. They're breaking our legs and selling us crutches.

Can’t find a BBC report on the child molesting Muslim perverts from Rochdale being denied the right to remain in the U.K. How strange 🤔

Paris is an expensive city. Need to keep pumping out those reports.

Yeah well big Oil Companies make billions....👀

And it was caused by the ruling class. It was implemented on purpose.

Oh, puh-leeze.

Not true the world faced several global energy crisis such as 1973

Last week it was an entirely British crisis, entirely the fault of Truss
