Australian Workers’ Union boss Dan Walton snapped into action following the grim economic outlook detailed in Treasurer Jim Chalmers' budget on Tuesday night.
Mr Walton criticised multinational gas companies, who he accused of making “extraordinary profits” off the back of Australia’s natural resources. “What is going to happen, is we’ll have a handful of multinational gas companies making extraordinary profits while we see the doors close on very good manufacturing businesses in this country.”
It has also asked for the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission to ramp up its role in curbing the crisis by enforcing a gas price cap.
RyanWil62993886 What the hell does mean girl Gallagher know about setting budgets ? Still unions have always been at the head of the table when it comes to the Labor Party !
Hear we go the union is telling there Labour boss what to do, do as we say not do as u like or we will stop giving u hand outs.
WhosFibbing Ask yourself, if Chalmers and Albo are predicting a 56% energy price hike… what will it REALLY be? 100%? 150%? Energy prices will be what brings this government down, but there’s a lot of pain for us to bear before that happens.
“Ordered” 😂
Why is it 'ordered' with Labor and unions, but if mining giants ask for something from the LNP the 'call on' them.
And so it was written.
Why is JEChalmers always smiling and smirking when telling us how bad it is. Perhaps his $10,000 LNP stage 3 high income tax cut year after year is in the back of his mind. Just a loose 254 billion cost to budget not doing anything else. Mon4Kooyong JacquiLambie DavidPocock
'ordered'? Really?
And they will listen to him
LMAO “ordered” Manufacturing News and Outrage 🤔
But it’s the libs fault for the 1000th time this week.
