A new report from the Energy Information Administration (EIA) indicates that Americans can expect to pay higher fees for natural gas this winter.

Off all regions, the EIC projected that the Midwest would increase the most nationally, by 27% compared with last winter, to $13.80/Mcf. "This winter, we expect colder temperatures and slightly more household consumption to contribute to higher natural gas bills compared with last winter," the EIC said.

"For households that use natural gas as their primary space heating fuel, we expect average consumption this winter to increase by 5%, or 58.4 Mcf, from last winter." has taken a number of steps since taking office to disincentive fossil fuel production. Oil production on federal lands and waters fell to less than 12 million barrels per day this month, more than a million barrels less than its March 2020 pre-pandemic level, according to federal data.

No shit

I'm so glad I'm getting a coal-burning stove 🕺

Get off of fossil fuel. Stop funding Russia.

The Marcellus-Utica basin could help the North East this winter... just a thought.

They're trying to break down society and take it over completely. What the problem is?

Joe Biden did that.

So basically like everything else under the worst administration ever.

no kidding prices for everything are outrageous

Should not be that way. Our govt wants it though

Folks you wouldn’t want my oil bill! $600 a month for 10 months! Budgeted! There might be a rebate at the end! Not

😂😂

Joe Biden did that.

My heating gas prices are going up this winter.

Guess I'll start using unnatural gas then

BretBaier They cheated…we’re suffering for it.

Yep! I've been notified by my servicing company that the cost is going up a third time this year! Biden's economy!

It didn’t have to be this way. This is the result of Biden’s war on American Energy period.

BretBaier A feature not a bug

US $ lost purchase power in US not outside US to other currency is higher value

Why? With all the natural gas in this country Why are we paying more? Tonight it will be in the low 40s. My gas heater will keep me warm. I can afford it. But what about those who can’t afford it. Being cold hurts badly.

Winning

Because we are shipping all of our natural gas to Europe on LNG tankers, this will show Putin!

BretBaier In a free market economy doesn’t the market determine price? Why is gov’t telling us which way prices are going? Gov’t only controls taxes, subsidies and regulations. Are they hinting at something?

BretBaier And remember Fetterman & PA Dems want to stop all fracking on one of the largest natural gas sources going. Stopping a major employer & industry.

Shameful. Natural Gas is plentiful in this country. Especially from my home state of W Va . There is no reason for the elderly to go without because they can’t afford to pay their bills

BretBaier Thank you Biden for this, yes you did this.

More ”winning” in the potus JoeBiden economy. In two more years, we all may be living on gov’t assistance.

Yes well why wouldn’t they be paying higher? It’s the attack on the middle class that’s playing out before our eyes. Life is a stage. AmericansAgainstCorruption AAC
