Ten common household devices racking up your energy bill by up to €170 per month - full list

Many Irish households are struggling with the cost of living crisis, with the price of almost everything seemingly on the rise.

Those looking to cut costs where possible will be keen to know how their energy bill breaks down and which appliances are costing more to run than others.Energy experts at Boiler Central have worked out the top ten energy-guzzling appliances in the home and how expensive they are to run, The Sun reports.When the costs of running all 10 per month are totalled, it comes in at over €170.Boiler - €92 Unsurprisingly, boilers cost the most to power, costing around £78 a month on average.

Washing machine - €17 Boiler Central said a four-person family household pays £14 a month to run their washing machine - £168 a year.
