Sky News host James Morrow says there is “no way but up” for power prices in Australia.

“I don’t care what Chris Bowen says about renewable being the cheapest form of energy – it is not,” he said.

“It is cheap at particular moments in time but everything that goes into getting it to you, and the capital needed to get it started, and then to keep it going when it’s not running is huge.”

I’m still waiting for Tony Abbott’s $550 power saving from 2013.

If homes were better insulated we'd use less electricity in summer and less gas in winter. Less demand = lower prices and lower bills.

But privatisation was going to make electricity cheaper through competition! That’s what the lying ass politicians told us when their political parties sold off something that they didn’t actually own!

Jacana ripping territory of for years now. Check out who holds the Port folios for energy. Corrupt asses need some icac.

If only Australia had an abundance of cheap coal and gas oh wait we do its just federal government sold it all to foreign companies that export all of it
