Electric Volta Zero Truck To Hit The Streets Of London This Summer | Carscoops carscoops

The trucks will be provided by the Swedish start-up to The Crown Estate, a large property owner in London’s expensive West End. The Crown Estate’s London portfolio spans 10 million square-feet of property and will be well-suited to the Volta Zero that offers up a range varying between 95 miles and 125 miles .

Volta is currently building prototypes of the Zero in the UK and plans to have completed 25 of them this month. Interestingly, eventual production models won’t be built in the UK and will instead be manufactured at a new plant in Steyr, Austria starting in the middle of the year. Logistics provider DB Schenker placed an order for 1,470 Volta Zero trucks late last year.
