Emma-Rose Hollywood, also known as ‘EmRo’, died after suddenly falling ill on Thursday.
North Antrim Alliance MLA Sian Mullholland was a friend of Emma-Rose for more than 20 years after they worked together at the Oh Yeah Music Centre in Belfast. Also paying tribute, her friend Michelle Mandipira said: “From the roller Derby OGs to you DJing every spot I liked to appear at.. to pints aplenty at Voodoo and becoming friends, your wedding and me always telling Stevo to tell you I love yee,.. you will be missed by so many people
Fellow BBC Radio Ulster presenter, Vinny Hurrell, added: "RIP. She loved her music, family and her wee dogs with all her heart. Very sad news." "Thousands of students, past and present, will know her for her amazing weekly pub quizzes, and her regular DJing over the years. It honestly felt that she was as much part of the Student’s Union as the bricks and mortar that built it.
