Today, April 22, is Earth Day, where Canadians join people across the globe in celebrating our planet we all share and recommit ourselves to tackling the climate crisis.The climate crisis is one of the biggest threats facing Canadians and people worldwide. With flooding, wildfires, and extreme weather occurring more often than ever, it is clear — urgent action needs to be taken now.
Liberals always place the profits of Big Oil and Gas corporations ahead of people’s well-being and our environment. The record-breaking wildfires from last summer have clearly shown that Canada is not immune to the impacts of climate change. However, this Liberal government has delayed funding of almost $15 billion to climate initiatives. Canadians expect better and deserve better.
