A fresh Newspoll has revealed Prime Minister Anthony Albanese's net approval rating still hangs in the negative, but voters seem to be backing Labor's new plan to boost Australia's manufacturing, jobs and clean energy.

The poll, which surveyed 1,236 people between April 15 and April 18, showed voters seemed to be throwing support behind Labor's Future Made in Australia plan. The Future Made in Australia scheme, which is tax-payer funded, aims to boost Australia's economy, manufacturing and clean energy projects. A total of 56 per cent of those polled backed the government stepping in, while 38 per cent favoured the latter. Six per cent of voters were undecided.
