2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Gets Bronzed, Performance Upgrade

has proven itself to be an impressive electric machine with plenty of sports car capability and feel, both in style and performance.

The new Performance Update comes standard on the Mach E Rally but 2024 GT owners will be able to download it OTA and install at a later date. GT owners will also be able to option it as part of their new purchase, but Ford didn't state if the Performance Upgrade will be available for older Mach E GTs.

Also new, but only available on 2024 Mach E GTs are new standard performance parts from the GT Performance Edition. This means new Mach E GT examples will gain Ford Performance front seats, the MagneRide dampers, and Brembo front brake calipers. For all 2024 Mach Es, a new rear motor developed by Ford will not only produce more torque but will weigh less than the rear motor found in previous model year Mach Es.

While more performance is great, faster charging and adding more miles between charges is always a good thing for new owners. For 2024 the Mach E will charge 20 percent faster on DC Fast Charging. In 36.2 minutes, the Extended Range battery pack will go from a 10 percent state of charge to 80 percent and that is 8.8 minutes faster than it was in 2023. Even the Standard Range pack is 5.7 minutes faster than the original battery pack by getting its 10 to 80 percent charge done in just 32.

Then there is the range you'll now get in a 2024 Ford Mustang Mach E. With its new rear motor and other improvements, the 2024 Mach E RWD and Standard Range pack will now get you 20 extra miles over the 2023 version, or 250 miles from 100 percent state of charge. The Premium trim RWD with the Extended Range battery now gets 320 miles—another 20 mile improvement—while the high performance Mach E GT will gain 10 miles for 280 miles before you need a recharge.
