, a nutritionally balanced, very low-calorie diet with the monitoring of a dietician shows high adherence and safety, with significant weight loss over the course of a month and common, but mild side effects.

To investigate, Gow and colleagues conducted a subanalysis of the 52-week Fast Track to Health study evaluating the acceptability of different dietary plans for adolescents with obesity.
