The gist of solar geoengineering is that spraying particles of materials such as calcium carbonate or sulfuric acid in the atmosphere would scatter sunlight and could ease the strain of the sun’s rays on the environment.

And where does the concern about carbon emissions come from? It would be hard to argue that it comes from climate change, given that China’s ever-increasing emissions erase any progress the U.S. or other countries make.
