DETROIT - General Motors Co said on Tuesday it will delay production of the electric pickup trucks at its Orion, Michigan, plant by a year to better align with "evolving EV demand."
Unifor says that auto workers at General Motors have voted to ratify a three-year contract agreement, with nearly 81 per cent of the 4,300 workers at three plants voting in favour of the deal. The agreement follows the pattern of an earlier one reached with Ford, which leaves only Jeep maker Stellantis without a contract with workers.
Toronto police have identified a woman who died after a shooting in the city's west end Sunday. Officers were initially called to an address on Davenport Road, near St. Clair Avenue West and Old Weston Road, around 10:30 p.m. Police say they found a man with a knife, and he was taken into custody.A short time later, a woman was found with stab wounds inside a home on nearby Chambers Avenue. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
