A renewable energy programme which aims to reduce domestic bills in council homes across North Lanarkshire is continuing to make progress.Councillor Michael McPake, convener of the council's housing committee, said: “By installing solar photovoltaic we want to help our tenants who are struggling with high prices during the current energy crisis and work towards alleviating fuel poverty.

This initiative aligns with the Scottish Government's target of achieving a 100 per cent reduction in all greenhouse gas emissions by 2045.
